Photography - Oxford Maths Finals

One of Oxford's more recent traditions is that of post-exam 'trashing', which is where, upon completing their final exam students are greeted at Examination Schools by their 'friends' and then whilst still wearing full sub-fusc are subject to having all manner of things thrown at them and being humiliated. This can range from champagne, eggs, flour, beans etc up to original BBC 'Get Your Own Back' gunge, rotting fish and parts of dead animals acquired from the butcher under the pretence of being for an art project. As well as stuff being thrown it is also not uncommon to see people largely stripped before being bound to a lampost. The whole process causes anger and frustration from local residents and is banned by university authorities but the magnitude of the problem means that little can really be done.
